"The shortest way to realism"

I made a series of videos-exercises, so that anyone can learn to draw realistically.

You can already achieve some realism after the 4th exercise!

These 4 exercises provide a strong foundation to start from, after that only the sky is the limit.

Exercise 4

Required tools:

Printed reference picture, a thicker drawing paper and a plein paper, a graphite pencil, an eraser and a ruler.

Brief description of the task:

Grid your reference picture (by halving the distances). Grid the sheet on which you will draw in the same proportion.

Turn the reference picture upside down and start drawing. It is important not to turn it over before the drawing is complete !!

Tip: You may want to cover the rows that you are not currently drawing. Here there will be parts where you will work on larger surfaces than just inside a single square. First start to work with faint lines to make it easier to repair if necessary and only afterwards you can draw the darker parts.

Here also, it is very important to be satisfied with the result and if not please draw it again! Don't rush! You can even set it aside and continue later on.

I hope you enjoyed these exercises and got the urge to draw regularly! :)

For your further development, it is very important to practise a lot!

Thank you so much for staying with me and I wish you all the best!

After each exercise, you can submit your best drawing to info(at)primusz(dot)com and I will upload the first 15 pictures here. Please be sure to write down your name and your age.
